Tune in to see the cast of The Outsiders perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next week! On Monday, June 3, the company will appear on the show to perform a number from The Outsiders, which has been nominated for 12 Tony Awards. The program airs 11:35/10:35c on NBC.

Tune into The View next week to see a reunion show celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit! On Wednesday, June 5, The View will host an event show featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, Sheryl Lee Ralph, music supervisor Marc Shaiman, and composer Mervyn Warren, plus additional cast members, performances, surprises, and more.

At the beginning of May, a brand new audio version of David Henry Hwang's Yellow Face debuted on Audible, which features a starry cast that includes Daniel Dae Kim, Benedict Wong, Ashley Park, and Jane Krakoswki. BroadwayWorld sat down with Hwang to discuss this new way of experiencing his play and how he approached the material 17 years later.

According to reports, Republic Pictures has acquired the rights to Millers in Marriage, a film helmed by Saving Private Ryan star Edward Burns. The ensemble of the film includes Broadway alums Brian d'Arcy James and Patrick Wilson, alongside Julianna Margulies, Gretchen Mol, Minnie Driver, Morena Baccarin, Benjamin Bratt, and Campbell Scott.

According to reports, Tony Award-winning actor John Benjamin Hickey will be starring in a pilot for a new series from Amazon MGM Studios called Band. The series comes from real-life couple Daniel and Ben Barnz who previously helmed the Max series Genera+ion.

According to reports, Glenn Close has become the latest actor to join the next Knives Out installment, Wake Up Dead Man. She joins the previously announced Kerry Washington, Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Andrew Scott. The details of their roles are being kept under wraps. The film will hit Netflix sometime in 2025.

In a new interview, Billy Eichner talked about the upcoming Hollywood Bowl concert of The Lion King and his lifelong dream of performing on Broadway. On Wednesday, Eichner revealed that they had their first official rehearsal that day. 'The scope and size of it really knocked me out,' he said before adding 'If I can get through it, I think it’s going to be really fun.”

Universal and Amblin Entertainment have announced the release date for the next film from the prolific director Steven Spielberg. Said to be an 'event film,' Spielberg's movie will released theatrically on May 15, 2026. The film will be based on a story from Spielberg, with a screenplay written by David Koepp, who has penned several Spielberg films in the past.

Ayo Edebiri (Theater Camp, The Bear) will be appearing alongside Andrew Garfield and Julia Roberts in a new film from director Luca Guadagnino. The film, titled After the Hunt, is written by Nore Garett and centers on a college professor who faces a crisis when a colleague is accused of misconduct and her own secret from her past is at risk of being exposed.

Edmund Donovan, who was recently seen on Broadway in the play Clyde's, has been cast in the upcoming thriller Echo Valley from Apple. Donovan joins a stacked cast that includes Julianne Moore, Sydney Sweeney, Domhnall Gleeson, Kyle MacLachlan, and Fiona Shaw. The film is directed by Michael Pearce, who directed 2017's Beast starring Jessie Buckley and Geraldine James. Brad Ingelsby, of Mare of Easttown, wrote the screenplay.
